Association for Women in Science
A $2,500 scholarship awarded annually by the Association for Women in Science to an undergraduate woman studying physics, geophysics, or a related geoscience who is an active member of the Society of Physics Students. Named for Kirsten R. Lorentzen, the award recognizes academic excellence and encourages women, first-generation college students, and underrepresented communities in the physical sciences. Applications are due February 28 each year.
