University of Auckland
A New Zealand summer research programme placing high-achieving undergraduates on supervised research projects for 10 weeks over the summer break, with a tax-free stipend of NZ$6,820.80 paid in fortnightly instalments from 1 December. It is open to domestic and international students currently enrolled at a New Zealand university who will have completed at least two years of equivalent full-time undergraduate study by December of the application year. Projects are listed by faculty on the university's Summer Research Projects page and students contact supervisors directly once projects are published. Recipients are enrolled in the course SUMRESCH 301 automatically by the Scholarships Office. Applications for the 2026 round ran 1 to 30 July.
