Four to five $5,000 tuition scholarships awarded annually by the Association for Information Science and Technology to students admitted to a bachelor's or master's programme in library and information science or a related field. PhD students are not eligible, and applicants must be enrolled in at least one course counting toward the degree. Preference goes to candidates interested in special library work and information science research. The fund itself is the former Special Libraries Association scholarship endowment, transferred to ASIS&T when SLA merged into it in 2025, which makes this the surviving route to what was previously SLA funding. Applications require a 500-1,000 word essay, a CV, and proof of enrolment; AI-generated essays are disqualified.
