Army Emergency Relief runs three scholarship programmes for Army families enrolled in DEERS. The Spouse Program funds spouses without a four-year degree who are pursuing a first undergraduate degree or first technical certification and accepts applications year-round with no deadline. The Children Program funds dependent children under 24 pursuing a first undergraduate degree or technical certification on an annual cycle. A third programme supports Pentagon attack victims and contacts eligible applicants directly. Award amounts vary each year with the number of applicants and the budget allotted. Recipients must reapply annually. Technical certifications are explicitly in scope, which makes this usable for IT, cybersecurity and allied-health credentials as well as degrees.
