About This Program

The foundation of the American Public Transportation Association awards a minimum of thirty scholarships ranging from US$5,000 to US$12,000 to college students and transit professionals pursuing or advancing a career in the public transportation industry. Awards cover the academic year and assist with tuition or other educational expenses. Applicants must be college sophomores with at least 30 completed credit hours, juniors, seniors or advanced-degree candidates at a fully accredited institution, and must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA in coursework relevant to the industry. Returning applicants must be sponsored by an APTA member organisation; first-time applicants need no sponsor. Applications are submitted through SurveyMonkey Apply.
