About This Program

The Air Force and Space Force route into a funded undergraduate degree, awarded to students who have completed their junior year of high school. AFROTC offers both capped scholarships, which pay tuition benefits up to a set annual maximum, and uncapped scholarships with no fixed tuition limit; the type and amount are set at the time of the offer and are not upgraded afterwards. Recipients may convert the tuition benefit to a room scholarship instead, covering on-campus or university-billed housing up to $10,000 per academic year. Every scholarship carries a $900 annual book stipend and a monthly stipend that rises with class standing, from $300 as a freshman to $500 as a senior. Technical scholarships may only be applied to an approved Space Force technical major, and the programme publishes a separate Highly Desired Majors list weighted toward engineering, physical sciences and computing. No deadline extensions are granted.
