The centrepiece of Air and Space Forces Aid Society education support, awarding needs-based grants of $500 to $4,000 a year to Air Force and Space Force dependents. Eligibility covers the sons and daughters of active-duty members, Title 10 Reservists on extended active duty, Title 32 Guard members on full-time active duty, retired, retired Reserve and deceased members, plus spouses of active-duty and Title 10 Reserve members and widows and widowers. Award size is set by the applicant's FAFSA Student Aid Index against cost of attendance. The single Arnold application also serves as the gateway to the Society's other education support — the Merit and Grit Scholarships, the no-interest Supplemental Education Loan and the Bee Arnold Spouse Tuition Program for short certification courses. Nearly $167 million has been awarded to 109,499 students since 1988.
