A paid ten-week summer internship from the American Association of People with Disabilities, running since 2002, placing disabled students and recent graduates with congressional offices, federal agencies, non-profits and companies in Washington, D.C., with remote participation available. STEM-focused placements are an explicit track, with an emphasis on science, technology, engineering and mathematics across any sector. Interns work four days a week for 32 hours plus Friday programming; the Summer 2026 cohort was paid $20 an hour for 32 hours over ten weeks, with a living stipend and transportation to and from Washington. Applicants must identify as a person with a disability and be a current student or have graduated within the last five years. The 2027 cycle closes October 1, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET.
