Small grants from the American Association of Geographers supporting research and fieldwork in geography, drawn from the Atwood Research Fund, Denoyer Geppert Fund, Geppert Fund and Gibson Fund. Awards are capped at $500 per recipient and may only be spent on direct research expenses; salary and overhead are not eligible, and master's and doctoral dissertation research are excluded (the AAG funds those through a separate dissertation grant). Applicants must have held AAG membership for at least two years, though not necessarily consecutively, and grants are open to researchers at all career stages.
