Australia & New Zealand

Australia and New Zealand have well-developed national women-in-STEM ecosystems anchored by long-running professional networks and government program infrastructure. The SAGE (Science in Australia Gender Equity) Athena Swan adaptation has driven institutional transformation across major Australian universities since 2015.

Pacific Island nations

STEM programming in the Pacific Island nations operates through different infrastructure - typically a mix of university extension programs, regional research organizations, and international partnerships. The University of the South Pacific (USP), with campuses across 12 Pacific nations, is the central educational institution.
